The deterioration in the microstructure of high-performance concrete is researched in close cooperation between building material and numerical simulation researchers within the priority program 2020. The degradation processes are investigated in high-precision tests with complex measurements.
Based on this, cross-scale numerical models provide additional insights into the damage processes at scale levels, which cannot be fully monitored in the experiments.
